Horton Global Scholars Program

In November 2015, Horton Inc. donated $153,000 to the Minnesota Private College Fund for a new established scholarship, the Horton Global Scholars Program, focusing on study abroad scholarships for students studying business or STEM. Each of MPCC’s 17 member institutions will receive one (1) $3,000 scholarship for each of the next three years starting in 2016-2017.

Requirements: Applicants must be a business related or STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math) major and Students mus have demonstrated unmet financial need. Click here for scholarship criteria and application: Horton Global Scholars Program

Gilman Scholarship

The Gilman Scholarship awards up to $5,000 to students. The aim is to broaden the student population that studies abroad by supporting undergraduates who have been traditionally under-represented in U.S. study abroad.

Requirements: Applicants must be recipients of the Pell Grant and have high financial need. Click here for eligibility requirements and more information.

Boren Awards for International Study

Boren Scholarships provide up to $20,000 to U.S. undergraduate students to study in regions of the world critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad: Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Requirements: Applicants must be going to a program in one of the listed areas. Click here for eligibility requirements and more information

Fund for Eduction Abroad

FEA provides grants and scholarships to students who participate in high-quality, rigorous education abroad programs. Students must plan to study abroad for a minimum of 4 weeks.

Minnesota Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to one deserving student who attends a US university/college located in Minnesota. Students interested in being considered for this annual scholarship should indicate through their application forms. This scholarship is made possible by the generous support and fundraising efforts of international educators working in Minesota.
